Annapolis timetable offers ‘best chance’ for a deal
Tony Blair has said that, for all sides in the Middle East peace process, the recent Annaopolis conference offers the “best chance they’ve got” to conclude a deal.
Speaking to Hala Gorani on CNN, after the Middle East conference in the US city of Annapolis which formally restarted Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, Mr Blair said that the timetable set there, for the resolution of all the major issues between the Israeli and the Palestinians, held out the “realistic possibility” of a deal.
Mr Blair admitted that “there’s a lot that’s got to happen” but added that the Annapolis conference had sent out a "very strong statement of commitment.
